DESCRIPTION: The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has issued an Air Quality Advisory for the following counties: Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan. WHAT...The Ozone AQI is expected to reach the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (USG) to Unhealthy level. WHERE...Southern Lake Michigan shoreline. WHEN...From noon until 7 PM today. Precautionary/Preparedness Actions: Sensitive groups: Do not do long or intense outdoor activities. Schedule outdoor activities in the morning when ozone is lower. Consider moving activities indoors. People with asthma: Follow your asthma action plan and keep quick-relief medicine handy. Everyone else: Reduce long or intense outdoor activity. Take more breaks, do less intense activities. Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
