AREAS AFFECTED: Lower Treasure Valley; Owyhee Mountains; Malheur County; Oregon Lower Treasure Valley
DESCRIPTION: At 627 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Double Mountain to Diamond Butte. Movement was east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Diamond Butte, Slocum Creek Campground, Shell Rock Butte, and Owyhee Dam around 630 PM MDT. Adrian, Board Corral Mountain, Leslie Gulch, and Owyhee around 640 PM MDT. Parma, Nyssa, Succor Creek Campground, and Mahogany Mountain around 650 PM MDT. Homedale, Wilder, and Rockville School around 700 PM MDT. Rockville around 710 PM MDT.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
