DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas... Little Arkansas River At Alta Mills affecting Reno and Harvey Counties. Little Arkansas River Near Halstead affecting Harvey County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Little Arkansas River at Alta Mills. * WHEN...From Friday morning to Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Just south of Alta Mills, River Park Road floods 0.2 miles north of the river gage around NW 60th St. There are several sections along a 2 mile span south of the gage site where River Park Road takes on water. Burrton West Park may be closed due to flood waters impacting the site along W Park Rd. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:15 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 0.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow morning to a crest of 23.2 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
INSTRUCTION: Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued this afternoon at 315 PM CDT.

Freezing rain is a condition where precipitation which has fallen in the form of
water droplets reaches temperatures which are below freezing and freezes upon
